Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of declaration, to declare that the petitioner is eligible for additional marks in the competitive examination held by the third respondent on 04.02.2024 and consequentially eligible to be appointed as Graduate Teacher - Tamil pursuant to the recruitment notification No.3/2023 dated 25.10.2023 and addendum notifications No.3A/2023 dated 15.11.2023 and No.3B/2023 dated 17.05.2024.

ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking declaration that the petitioner is eligible for additional marks in the competitive examination held by the third respondent on 04.02.2024 and consequentially eligible to be appointed as Graduate Teacher - Tamil pursuant to the recruitment Notification No.3/2023 dated 25.10.2023 and the addendum notifications No.3A/2023 dated 15.11.2023 and No.3B/2023 dated 17.05.2024.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that the 1:1:25 ratio was not followed while calling upon the candidates for certificate verification for the post of Graduate Teacher - Tamil. There were totally 519 vacancies for the post of Graduate Teacher - Tamil, out of which, 93 vacancies were allotted for MBC Category. The petitioner
is coming under the MBC Category.
3. According to the petitioner, only 111 candidates were called for certificate verification under the MBC Category and the 1:1:25 ratio was not followed.
4. Therefore, the third respondent is directed to follow the ratio of 1:1:25 for certificate verification. If the petitioner is coming within the zone of consideration by following the 1:1:25 ratio, the third respondent is directed to call the petitioner for certificate verification.
5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.17791 & 17792 of 2024 are closed.
