ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2024 and consequently direct the respondent to disburse his arrears of salary to a sum of Rs.12,000/- per month for the period from 01.09.2023 to 13.08.2024 during which the petitioner rendered services, along with 6% interest per annum on the delayed payment of salary from due date to till the date of actual payment.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as Office Assistant in the year 1987 by the respondent and retired from service on 30.09.2021. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner's service was extended for another two years by the respondent. This being the case, the petitioner has requested the respondent for another year of extension and also worked for a period of 11 months without any order of extension and salary. In this connection, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 18.12.2024 to settle his arrears of salary for the said 11 months i.e., from 01.09.2023 to 2/5
13.08.2024. However, the same was not considered by the respondent, as on date. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. At this juncture, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent fairly submits that they would consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2024 within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
5. In view of the above submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2024 and pass order, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on its own merits and in accordance with law.

6. In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
