ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police to Register a case on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 20.01.2015, the petitioner has come up with this petition. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police. 3.The case of the petitioner is that one Selvaraj who is a lorry driver went missing while returning from Rajasthan. In this regard, complaint was sent by the petitioner through post on 20.01.2015 to the Deputy Director General of police and Inspector of Police, Salem Junction Railway Police, Salem. It is seen that the family members of Selvaraj have not given any complaint. The petitioner is at liberty to take those family members of Selvaraj to the jurisdictional police and lodge a complaint. On such complaint being lodged, the concerned police shall deal with the same and act in accordance with the law as laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].
