Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to give adequate security to Adi Dravida peoples at Kunniyar Village, Kallakurichi taluk, Villupuram District while using the public road which is situated at East of Anthoniyar Church as well as south of Anthoniyar Church situated at Kunniyar Village, Kallakurichi taluk, Villupuram District in accordance with the peace meeting resolutions piloted by the second respondent dated 05.11.2003 at about 7.00 p.m. between the Adi Dravida peoples and Chiristians of Kunniyar Village, Kallakurichi taluk, Villupuram District.

This writ petition is heard through Video Conference on account of COVID-19 pandemic situation.
2. On 04.08.2020, when the matter was called, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and hence, the matter was directed to be listed on 12.08.2020. When the matter was listed on 12.08.2020, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and hence, in order to give one more opportunity to the petitioner to argue the case, the matter was directed to be listed on 13.08.2020 under the caption 'For Dismissal'. Even today (i.e. on 13.08.2020), when the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner either in person or through counsel and hence this Court is constrained to dismiss the writ petition for non prosecution.
3. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
