By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner joined the services as Village Administrative Officer in Tiruvannamalai District on 09.03.2008. Thereafter, he was transferred to Dharmapuri District on 16.02.2009.

3. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the petitioner's juniors have been promoted to the post of Assistant and therefore he made a representation to the respondents on 23.09.2015 to refix the seniority list and promote the petitioner to the post of Assistant. Since, it was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Ramasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5. Though the prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a larger relief, this Court considering the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 23.09.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
