This petition has been filed to issue a direction to respondent police to give permission and police protection for Light Music Programme for Thropathi Amman Temple Festival which is to held on 25.06.2019 at 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 pm in Olakkur Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District based on the petitioner's representation on 15.06.2019.
2. There are absolutely no particulars regarding the steps taken by the petitioner to seek for police protection before 14.06.2019, since the function itself has started on 14.06.2019 and the representation is set to have been given on 19.06.2019. Even for this representation there is no proof of sending the representation to the police. That apart, the function is being conducted by the general public and it not known as to how this petitioner has got the locus to maintain this petition.

3. This Court does not find any ground to grant the permission as sought for by the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed.
