Respondents [R4 impleaded as per the order dated 23.03.2021 in Sub.A.No.119 of 2021] Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying to punish the respondents for having wilfully, wantonly and deliberately disobeyed the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.6346 of 2017 dated 22.11.2019.

O R D E R

The petitioner, alleging non compliance of the order passed by this Court dated 22.11.2019 in W.P.No.6346 of 2017, has filed the present contempt petition.

2. Mr.U.M.Ravichandran, learned Special Government Pleader would submit that in compliance of the order passed by this Court, the Government has issued orders in G.O.(Rt)No.851, Finance (Health Insurance -2) Department dated 31.12.2021, sanctioning an amount of Rs.7,195/- being the reimbursement of medical expenses incurred by the petitioner and the Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, vide proceedings in Proc.Rc.No.23533/NHIS-3/2021 dated 03.01.2022, has passed orders for disbursal of said amount to the petitioner.

3. However, the aforesaid sanction of medical reimbursement is disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, this Contempt Petition stands closed. The Government Order in G.O.(Rt)No.851, Finance (Health Insurance-2) Department dated 30.12.2021 as well as the proceedings of the Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts, Chennai dated 03.01.2022 is taken on file and recorded. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the quantum of medical reimbursement, it is open to him to challenge the same in the manner known to law before the appropriate forum. The learned Special Government Pleader is directed to serve a copy of G.O.(Rt)No.851, Finance (Health Insurance-2) Department dated 30.12.2021, as well as the proceedings of the Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts, Chennai dated 03.01.2022 to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
