ORDER
This petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.52 of 2022 pending investigation before the 1st respondent.
2.Heard Mr.S.Suresh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent.
3.The petitioner had filed an anticipatory bail petition before this Court in Crl.O.P.No.713 of 2023 and an order was passed on 20.01.2023 by granting interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner and the petitioner and the 2nd respondent were referred to the Mediation Centre at Thiruvallur. 4.The petitioner and the 2nd respondent reached an agreement and a report was also prepared by the Mediation Centre in this regard. 5.The anticipatory bail petition was subsequently listed on 16.03.2023 and this Court took into account the agreement reached between the parties and the following order was passed:
2.This Court, by an order dated 20.01.2023 in Crl.O.P.No.713 of 2023, while granting bail to the petitioner, referred the matter to Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Thiruvallur. Today, report of Mediation has been received in which, it has been stated that the parties have compromised the matter between them. Records of the Mediation Centre shall form part of this Court.
6.It is clear from the above that the parties have already resolved the dispute in the Mediation Centre and it has been compromised. In view of the same, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the FIR pending. 7.In the light of the above discussion, the FIR in Crime No.52 of 2022 pending investigation on the file of the 1st respondent is hereby, quashed. 8.Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands allowed. 07.07.2023 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No Speaking Order/Non-Speaking Order ssr To 1.The Inspector of Police, W-1, All Women Police Station - Tambaram, Tambaram City.
