ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.04.2025 seeking difference in pension and gratuity.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, although he worked as a driver in the respondent corporation for 30 years, only 29 years of service has been considered by the respondent for calculating his pension and gratuity. Furthermore, a sum of Rs.4500/-, which was deposited towards Erode Engineering College and Erode Medical College, was also not paid to the petitioner at the time of his retirement. Hence, he sent a representation on 23.04.2025, claiming the differential amount of gratuity and pension, However, the said representation has not been considered by the respondent till date. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Though the learned counsel for the respondent would strongly object to such contention, since the representation has not been considered so far, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2/4

respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2025 and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, according to its own merits and in accordance with law.
