O R D E R

The petitioner is a driver in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Salem Division), Dharmapuri Zone.

2. On 21.04.2019, the petitioner was involved in a motor accident causing death of one person by name Lakshmi Narasimha Balu. A criminal case has been registered against him and also proceedings under Section 19 of Motor Vehicle Act were initiated. The petitioner herein has filed this writ petition seeking Mandamus to direct the respondents to return his driving license.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that show cause notice has been issued to the petitioner calling for his explanation why action should not be taken against him under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicle Act. The petitioner has replied to the show cause notice on 24.06.2019.

4. Recording the statement of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:- The Regional Transport Officer, Krishnagiri shall pass appropriate order in accordance with law, on or before 12.07.2019 and communicate the same to the petitioner. No costs.
