This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.R.C.Paul Kanagaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that the petitioner is an Advocate and he was threatened by the opposite party for having taken up a case on behalf of his client. An Advocate needs to be protected in discharge of his duty.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that he would give necessary instruction to the police to look into the case.

5. Considering the circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents to enquire into the complaint lodged by the petitioner.
