.. Respondents This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr. Terry Chella Raja, Counsel for the petitioner is present.

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The W.P.No.21960/2016 pending on the file of the Hon'ble High Court, Madras preferred against award passed in W.C.325/2012 on the file of the Deputy Commissioner of Labour - II, Chennai has been referred to Lok Adalat for conciliation today.

The writ petitioner assisted by counsel and the 5th respondent National Insurance Company Limited, Chennai assisted by Manager are present before Lok Adalat today. Admittedly respondent 1 to 4 are formal parties in this writ proceedings. The Deputy Commissioner of Labour - II has awarded a compensation of Rs.2,12,656/- with interest at 12% p.a. from the date of petition till the date of deposit against the 5th respondent herein. Admittedly the 5th respondent has deposited the award amount of Rs.2,12,656/- before Competent Authority but has not paid interest at the rate of 12% along with the awarded amount.

Therefore the writ petitioner has filed this writ petition for deposit of the interest awarded by the Deputy Commissioner of Labour - II, Chennai.

It is agreed by both parties now that the said interest amount has also been deposited by the Deputy Commissioner of Labour - II, Chennai and in view of this, nothing survives in this writ petition.

In view of the said position the Learned Counsel for the writ petitioner has made an endorsement on the Memorandum of writ petition that he has not pressing the writ petition. The endorsement made in the writ petition has been recorded by the Lok Adalat.

In view of the compromise arrived at between the both parties as mentioned in the endorsement made in the writ petition, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. Award is passed accordingly. No order as to cost.
