This Court had directed the trial Court to complete the trial within a certain time period. Unable to comply with the directions of this Court, the trial Judge has addressed a communication dated 18.09.2020, seeking extension of time. The trial Judge in the communication has stated that, so far 14 witnesses have been examined as against list of 36 witnesses.

2. Taking into consideration the COVID-19 pandemic situation and other circumstances, this Court extends the time for completing the trial in C.C.No.13 of 2014 on the file of the IX Additional Special Court for CBI Cases, Chennai by six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this communication.

3. The CBI shall produce the witnesses before the trial Court and both sides shall co-operate with the trial Court in complying with the directions of this Court.
