This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2013 to the respondents for reallotment and re-conveyance of the land situated in Tiruchirapalli Corporation, Tiruchirapalli Taluk and Village comprised in T.S.No.172 of Ward G, Block 14 of Tiruchirapalli Corporation and having Door No.168, Big Bazaar Street, Tiruchirapalli - 610 008.

2. The said land was acquired on the request of the first and second respondents for the purpose of setting up Tiruchi Fort Post Office. Thereafter, after acquisition, the award was passed in Award No.6 of 2018 dated 30.08.1982 and the compensation amount was also deposited.

3. The learned Special Panel Counsel appearing for the first and second respondents submitted that already, the project was completed and now, the Post Office is running in the place, which was acquired from the petitioner. Therefore, question of re-conveyance does not arise and as such, the representation of the petitioner cannot be considered.

4. However, the representation was submitted on 15.04.2013 and as such, now after a period of eight years, this Court cannot direct the respondents to consider the same for reconveyance. Therefore, this Writ Petition is devoid of merits.

5. In the result, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh representation, if so advised. No costs.
