Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider the petitioners representation dated 03.01.2024 and to survey the agricultural land situated in Tiruvannamaalai District, Veeralur Village comprised in Survey No.181/1F within a time limit fixed by this Court in accordance with law.

ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed to direct the respondent herein to consider 1/4

the representation of the petitioner dated 03.01.2024 and to survey the agricultural land situated in Tiruvannamaalai District, Veeralur Village comprised in Survey No.181/1F within a time limit fixed by this Court in accordance with law.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Advocate appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the subject property by way of a Will dated 27.08.2002 executed by his grandfather and patta has also been issued in the name of the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has given a representation to measure and survey his agricultural land, the respondent has not taken any steps in this regard. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.01.2024 and pass appropriate orders on the same, after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons, within a period of 2/4

two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
