ORDER

Heard Mr.P.Rajkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.

The petitioner seeks for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to issue a sub-division patta for the petitioner's property bearing Old Survey No.245/5, New Survey No.245/5B "Sri Thirumalai Nagar" (D.T.C.P. Approval No.115/2006) Plot No.135-B, total extent area of 1000 sq.feet at Athikattur Village, Thiruvallur District.

According to the petitioner, he has acquired title over the property in question, by virtue of the release deed executed by the petitioner's family members dated 23.04.2014 registered as Document No.1891 of 2014. Now, he has applied for grant of patta by way of representation dated 26.08.2014 given to the third respondent and the same is pending till date. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. In the light of the above submission, there will be a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation dated 26.08.2014 submitted by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall also submit a fresh representation by enclosing the copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
