Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to disburse the drought relief amount of Rs.25,400/- (Rupees Twenty Nine Thousand and Four Hundred Only) for the period 2012-13 for an extent of 01.47.50 Hectare in addition to the amount paid to the petitioner Rs.4,000/-(Rupees Four Thousand Only) and the balance amount of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) for back end investment subsidy for ploughing for the year 2013-14 to an extent of 1.63.37 Hectare and Rs.360/- (Rupees Three Sixty Only) for direct sowing subsidy as per the applications of the petitioner and as per the representation of the petitioner dated 29.11.2013, 23.01.2014 and 25.08.2014.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims that he is a farmer doing agricultural operations for the past 50 years cultivating paddy and other agricultural products in the land admeasuring to an extent of 01-47.50 Hectare bearing in R.S.No.86/3 and R.S.No.94/8 in Thirunallar Taluk and according to him, there were severe drought and as a consequence, agricultural operations were affected and in this regard, he has submitted a representation to the respondents for disbursement of Drought Relief Fund and since no response is forthcoming, also submitted representations dated 29.11.2013, 23.01.2014 and 25.08.2014 to the third respondent and also sought information under the Right to Information Act. However, no disposal has been given to the petitioner's representations and therefore, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.T.Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 3.

4. Though the petitioner has prayed for larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the petitioner to submit one more representation to the respondents 2 and 3 as well as copies of his earlier representations, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the respondents 2 and 3, on receipt of the same, are directed to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
