ORDER

Though notice was served on the respondent and the name of the respondent is found printed in the cause list, there is no representation for the respondent. Hence this court deems it appropriate to pass an order after hearing the submissions to be made on behalf of the petitioner. Accordingly, the submissions made by Mr.I.C.Vasudevan, learned counsel for the petitioner are heard.

2. The limited prayer made in this petition is for a direction to be issued to the trial court to complete the trial of the suit, which was filed in the year 2012, within a time to be fixed by this court.

3. In view of such a limited scope of prayer, the petition is allowed and the trial court (Court of District Munsif, Omalur, Salem District) is directed to take up the trial of the suit O.S.No.464/2012 and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible, in any event within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, there shall be no order as to cost.
