ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner life and his family members to live peacefully at Vilambavur Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District in accordance with law.

2. It is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that, petitioner purchased a land in Survey No.326-4A1. When petitioner was cleaning his land on 14.05.2023 at about 9.00 a.m, respondents 3 to 8 along with some other persons illegally trespassed into the land and tried to attack with deadly weapons and made threat to his life. Petitioner submitted a representation dated 18.05.2023 seeking police protection. So far no order is passed, necessitating filing of this petition.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that, on the basis of the representation dated 18.05.2023, appropriate orders will be passed.

4. Considered the facts and circumstances of this case, where petitioner apprehends threat to his life and his family members at the hands of the respondents 3 to 8, this Court directs respondents 1 and 2 to consider petitioner's representation dated 18.05.2023 and pass appropriate orders in the manner know to law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
