The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 29.7.2017 within a stipulated period. 2.

Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the 3rd respondent.

Heard the learned Counsel on either side.

In view of the limited prayer made in the writ petition, this Court hereby directs the 1st respondent, namely, the Commissioner, Land Administration, Chepauk, Chennai to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 29.7.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 5.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
