PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the second respondent to file final report in Crime No.756 of 2020 pending on the file of the Sub Inspector of Police in G2-Varanjaram Police Station, Kallakurichi, within a stipulated period fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police to complete the investigation pending in the Crime No.756 of 2020 dated 29.08.2020.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 29.08.2020, no final report is filed till date.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.

5. In view of the above, the 2nd respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
