ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police to register a case on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 17/02/2015 and investigate the same in accordance with law, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3. A perusal of the complaint discloses that the respondent police do not have jurisdiction to entertain the complaint. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that it is only the Sriperumbudur Police, who has jurisdiction to entertain the complaint.

Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh complaint before the jurisdictional police and on the complaint being filed, the same shall be enquired and disposed of by the Investigating Officer, in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)]. ajr -s/d- Assistant Registrar(LA) True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar To
