PRAYER:
Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to release the 840 bags of rice each 25 Kgs, which was seized by the 2nd respondent on 17.09.2013 from Lorry bearing Registration No.TN-63-AX-6999.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the 1st respondent to release the 840 bags of rice, each 25 Kgs, which was seized by the 2nd respondent on 17.09.2013, from Lorry bearing Registration No.TN-63-AX-6999.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. It is submitted by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents that the rice seized from the petitioner was already handed over to the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, Coimbatore by the Inspector of Police, CSCID, Pollachi. It is further submitted that the District Revenue Officer, Coimbatore has passed an order dated 21.06.2014, under Section 6 (A) of the Essential Commodities Act. communicated to the petitioner, he did not challenge the order before the Principal District Judge, Coimbatore, therefore, it has become final.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was not aware of the order passed by the District Revenue Officer, dated 21.06.2014 and seeks liberty to challenge the order.
5. In the light of the above facts and submission of both sides, this writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order in the manner known to law.
6. With the above observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
