O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vaniyambadi to take the protest petition in RCS No.54 of 2024 in Crime No.558 of 2023 on file and to dispose of the same within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.

3. When the matter came up on 03.07.2025 the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed a protest petition before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vaniyambadi, challenging RCS No.54 of 2024 in Crime No.558 of 2023. The learned Magistrate returned the same stating that no such negative charge sheet has been filed before the Court. Further, this Court vide order dated 03.07.2025, directed the respondent-Police to file a report with regard to filing of negative charge sheet/ closure report before the Magistrate.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-Police submitted that the learned Magistrate had issued notice to the petitioner to appear for an enquiry on 24.7.2025 with regard to the closure report filed by the respondent-Police.

5. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vaniyambadi on 24.07.2025. On appearance of the petitioner herein, the learned Magistrate is directed to take the protest petition filed by the petitioner on file, if it is otherwise in order and proceed the same in accordance with law.

6. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
