JUDGMENT

(The judgment of the Court was delivered by J.Nisha Banu,J.) The above Civil Miscellaneous Appeal has been filed by the appellant/husband against the order passed by the learned III Additional Principal Judge, Family Court at Chennai in HMOP.No.839 of 2022 dated 02.04.2024, in which, the petition filed by the respondent/wife seeking divorce was allowed.

2. Today, a memo dated 24.01.2025 has been filed by the respondent/wife which reads as follows:

I am filing this memo to state that I will not claim anything from the petitioner hereafter and I do not have any objection to dissolve the marriage between me and the petitioner.

The said memo is signed by the respondent as well as the learned counsel for the respondent.

3. The said memo dated 24.01.2025 is recorded. The Family Court has already declared the marriage solemnized between the appellant and the respondent on 07.02.2022 at C.P.Adhithanar Thirumana Mandapam, Anna Nagar, Kodaikanal, as null and void vide order dated 02.04.2024 in HMOP.No.839/2022 and therefore, the same is hereby confirmed. Accordingly, this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of. The memo filed by the respondent dated 24.01.2025 shall form part and parcel of this judgment. No costs.
