ORDER
(The Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM,J) This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and pass
orders on the appeal of the petitioner, dated 16.03.2020. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner Mr.S.Thirumavalavan would submit that the petitioner applied for community certificate with the third respondent, but it was rejected and the order was confirmed by the second respondent. Aggrieved over the same, an appeal has been filed before the first respondent on 16.03.2020, but till date, no order has been passed on the appeal.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction issued to the first respondent to consider and dispose of his appeal in a time frame.
4.Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the appeal preferred by the petitioner is pending consideration and after obtaining a report form the Vigilance Cell, the first respondent is ready to pass orders.
5.In the light of the above submission of the learned counsels and considering the nature of prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner dated 16.03.2020 on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
