Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2018 with a request to revise the scale of pay Rs.930034800+Grade Pay of Rs.4800/- to Superintendent w.e.f.22.12.2015 based on the promotion order in Memo No.153/PS(A)1/MTC/2015 dated 22.12.2015 and consequently revise the pension, gratuity and leave salary.

O R D E R
The Writ Petitioner was an employee of Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Chennai) Ltd., and the writ petitioner retired as Superintendent.
2. This writ petition is predicated on the basis that the writ petitioner has not been granted revised scale of pay for
Superintendent, particularly the scale of pay which has been indicated in the service certificate.
3. To ventilate this grievance, the writ petitioner has given a representation dated 23.05.2018 to respondent No.1 before this Court. On the basis that there is inaction on the part of respondent No.1 in acting on the representation, the instant writ petition has been filed.
4. I have heard Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned counsel for the writ petitioner. Mr.P.Kannan Kumar, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents.
5. With the consent of both sides, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal.
6. Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he abridges the prayer in the writ petition and restricts it to a plea to mandamus the first respondent to dispose of the writ petitioner's aforesaid representation dated 23.05.2018.
7. In the light of the prayer being abridged and restricted in the aforesaid manner, the prayer in this writ petition is now innocuous.
8. I have also heard the learned Standing Counsel for the Transport Corporation, who has accepted notice on behalf of both the respondents before this Court.
9. In the light of the narrative supra, there shall be a direction to respondent No.1 to dispose of the writ petitioner's aforesaid representation dated 23.05.2018, within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
10. Disposal of the aforesaid representation by respondent No.1 shall be in accordance with law.
11. Respondent No.1 shall communicate a copy of order disposing of the representation to the writ petitioner within seven working days from the date of such disposal. The writ petition is disposed of on above terms. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CS IX) //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar
