This writ petition is filed seeking for writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 05.10.2015.
2.According to the petitioner, he was temporarily appointed as Driver in the respondent corporation and joined duty on 20.07.2007, thereafter his service was regularised. The petitioner was suffering from back pain and he is taking treatment with the Chief Civil Surgeon, Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Hospital, Salem. Due to his inability to drive the bus, he gave a representation to the respondent dated 05.10.2015 to provide suitable alternative employment. Since, it was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.
3.Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Selvakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and M/s.P.Kannan Kumar, Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.10.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
