Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to modify the condition that "the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m., and thereafer as and when required for interrogation" in Crl.OP.No.6656 of 2020 dated 20.03.2020. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S. R.SURESHKUMAR, Advocate for the Petitioner and of M/S.T.P.SAVITHA, Government Advocate on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed seeking to modify the condition imposed in Crl.O.P.No.6656/2020 dated 20.03.2020 to the effect that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30. a.m. for a period of two weeks and thereafter, as and when required by the respondent police, while granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner in Crime No.131/2020 on the file of the respondent police for the offences under Sections 294(b), 448 and 506(ii) of IPC. 2.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to the grievous injuries sustained by the petitioner in an accident that occurred in the year 2013 followed by renal failure, he could not move anywhere outside without the help of anyone. Hence, he could not comply with the condition imposed by this Court. Therefore, the same may be modified.

Ms.T.P.Savitha, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondent submitted that the presence of the petitioner is required for the investigation of the case. Therefore, he may be directed to appear as and when required by the respondent police for enquiry instead of appearing daily at 10.30. a.m. for a period of two weeks.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the ailment of the petitioner and also the prevailing covid-19 pandemic situation, the condition imposed in Crl.O.P.No.6656/2020 dated 20.03.2020 to the effect that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30. a.m. for a period of two weeks and thereafter, as and when required by the respondent police is modified to the effect that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police as and when only required for interrogation.

The petition is ordered accordingly.
