Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus to consider the petitioners representation dated 04.05.2018 given to respondents 1 to 3 with regard to the respondents to publish the list of the colleges which have enrolled less than 30% and single digit number during the past 2 years in the Anna University Website or entire colleges admission percentage so that the aspiring students select the right colleges without any ambiguity but with much clarity.

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH,J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned counsel who takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.C.Munusamy, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the third respondent.
2. The petitioner is said to be an Educational Advisor, Motivational Speaker, Students Counsellor, Social Worker and also a Freelance Writer. It appears that on 4.5.2018, the petitioner is said to have made a representation to the respondents requesting them to publish the information regarding the list of Engineering Colleges enrolled 30% and single digit admissions during the year 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 and requesting the Anna University also to release ranking list of the colleges because there are 60% of rural students and first graduates have applied for Engineering courses and because of the tedious counselling process students tend to fall into the trap of the inefficient colleges which lacks facilities and faculties. Contending that no action was taken on the representation given by the petitioner, the present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction for consideration of the said representation.
3. It appears that the grievance of the petitioner is that for want of publication, most of the rural students are misdirected and no option to choose the best college where better facilities and better faculties are there.
4. We have perused the entire materials. In the representation dated 4.5.2018, submitted by the petitioner, a copy of which is found at page 15 of the typed set of papers, we find that the petitioner himself has congratulated the respondents for introducing and implementing TNEA through online which is a boon to the public, parents and of course to the student community aspiring to don the mantle of Engineers and also has noted certain of the measures taken by them to publish the results in website. However, the apprehension of the petitioner is that the students are not properly guided as regards the colleges which have got poor admission and single digit admission and they are misguided and therefore, he seeks for uploading of adequate additional information to enable the online counselling to be effective.
5. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties on the issue, we find that already the issue had been dealt with by a Division Bench of this court in W.P.No.11429 of
2013 etc, by order dated 21.5.2014 and based on the directions issued by the Division Bench, there is already a practice of uploading the information with regard to pass percentage statistics based on the academic performance of the Departments, Constituent Colleges, Government Colleges, Government Aided Colleges, Central Institutes and Self Financing Engineering Colleges and therefore, there is no question of any misleading or misguiding of the students for want of information. We further find that already sufficient care has already been taken for providing information to the students even at the school level and moreover, when the State Government itself is providing computer education and free laptops to the students free of cost, there is no question of lack of imparting knowledge or non-supply of information to the students in getting information about the Engineering Colleges or getting misguided to any fake colleges. It is also seen that the students are also left with the option even to move from one college to another at their choice.

Therefore, we are of the view that the grievance expressed by the petitioner appears to have already been taken care of sufficiently and hence, there is no need for any specific direction to be issued in tis regard. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. Sd/- Deputy Registrar(CS) //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar ssk.
