The petitioner herein seeks police protection, since there is a threat from the 3rd and 4th respondents, when he demanded the balance money payable to him in connection with house construction contract. 2.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that on the complaint received from the petitioner, C.S.R.No.398 of 2024 has been registered on 15.06.2024. When the petitioner was summoned to appear for enquiry and furnish particulars to substantiate his complaint, the petitioner did not turn up and his house found locked.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that since the petitioner was out of town, he could not participate in the enquiry. The petitioner is ready to participate in the enquiry in future on summons.

In the light of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent police to conduct enquiry in accordance with law and proceed.
