O R D E R

The petitioner herein, who is the 3rd accused in the complaint given by one Selvi, is before this Court stating that the money dispute 1/4

between the complainant and one Karthikeyan, the brother of the petitioner, a false complaint has been given and the same was registered by the respondent police in Crime No.40 of 2024 dated 10.02.2024. 2.

Under the guise of investigation, the petitioner is put to harassment and threat. Further, the copy of the complaint has been given to the higher officer of the petitioner, who is working as a teacher and through them, the police is pressurizing to settle the complainant with whom the petitioner has no transaction.

On perusal of the First Information Report, this Court finds that the complainant appears to be the aggresssor, who has gone to the petitioner's house and picked quarrel in respect of money dispute between the complainant and one Karthikeyan. Apparently this Court finds that the police has involved themselves in the civil dispute, trying to settle the dispute conducting Kangaroo Court. Hence, the 2nd respondent police is directed not to harass the petitioner herein and complete the investigation within a period of 15 days and proceed in accordance with law taking note of the fact that they are not empowered to involve in civil dispute and try to settle the dispute illegally or without any authority. 2/4
