O R D E R

The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to treat the petitioners as permanent workers of the respondent Corporation from the date of completion of 480 days of continuous service in the respondent Corporation as per the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have completed 480 days of continuous service in the respondents Corporation, however, the respondents have not yet regularised the service of the petitioners. The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice, if this Court grant permission to the petitioners to make representation before the first respondent seeking regularisation of service or approach the appropriate form under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981.

3.Considering the limited request now made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this Court grant liberty to the petitioners to work out the remedy in the manner known to law. 4.With the above observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
