ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.G.Jayachandran J.) The petitioner herein, alleging that the fifth respondent has encroached Government Poramboke land/Waterbody, had filed W.P.No.13828 of 2024, seeking removal of encroachment. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the authorities have surveyed the land and found encroachment made by several persons, including the writ petitioner as well as the fifth respondent and, as a consequence, necessary steps have been taken for removal of the encroachment.

2. At this juncture, the petitioner has come before this Court, seeking a mandamus to re-survey the land in Survey No.129/1 situated at Korakkai Village, Thittakudi Taluk, Cuddalore District, based on her representation, dated 16.03.2026.

3. The representation of the petitioner indicates that the Surveyor and the Village Administrative Officer, while measuring the land, had not properly measured the land and, therefore, there must be re-survey. The said representation, though sought for re-survey, is not supported by necessary fee. A mere representation for re-survey, without requisite fee, cannot be entertained. As a consequence, an improper representation cannot be directed to be considered by way of a mandamus.
