ORDER

The petitioners have filed this contempt petition to punish the respondents for disobeying the order of this Court in W.P.No.22934 of 2021 dated 26.10.2021.

2. There is a compliance reported today by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.

3. It is submitted that the petitioners have been paid a sum of Rs.22,440/- towards gratuity, which has to be paid. As far as the request for appointment on compassionate ground is concerned, the claim of the petitioners have been rejected on the ground that as the application was not filed within the time stipulated.

4. Considering the fact that the order has been passed rejecting the request of the petitioners, I am inclined to close this contempt petition. However, liberty is given to the petitioners to challenge the order passed on 07.09.2022, bearing reference:f/vz;/448987/L9/SM/SETC/2021. 2/4

5. The petitioners are also given liberty to approach the Labour Court against the said order. In case, the petitioner files such application within a period of thirty days, the Labour Court may entertain and dispose of the same in accordance with law and on merits.

6. In view of the above, the contempt petition stands closed. No costs.
