O R D E R

The lands owned by the petitioner was acquired for setting up Mettur Thermal Power Station in 1986. The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board has framed a scheme for giving employment to the member of the family in case, the land is acquired for public purpose. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.11.2014 to give him suitable employment taking into account the acquisition of land for

the purpose of setting up Thermal Power Station. The present request is to direct the first respondent to consider the said request in accordance with the regulations.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-Electricity Board.

3. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 10.11.2014 in the light of the relevant regulations and taking into account the earlier order passed by this Court dated 13.09.2012 in W.P.Nos.32818 to 32820 of 2002. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
