This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to grant approval for the petitioner's appointment as a Primary School Teacher in the second respondent School with effect from 02.01.2002 and as Trained Graduate Teacher with effect from 29.03.2012 in the second respondent School and grant her all consequential benefits.

2.The case of the petitioner is that she is working as a Primary School Teacher at Immaculate Heart of Mary's Government Aided Boys & Girls High School, Nellithope, Puducherry. She was initially appointed as a Primary School Teacher on 02.01.2002. She was placed in the scale of pay of Rs.4500-

125-7000 with effect from 01.12.2004 and was placed on probation for a period of two years from the same date. Thereafter, she was appointed as a Trained Graduate Teacher with effect from 29.03.2012. She has been working continuously in the said post since then. However, her appointment has not been approved till date, despite availability of a sanctioned post and her possession of the requisite qualifications, The School Management sent proposals to the first respondent seeking approval of her appointment. The petitioner also submitted a representation to the first respondent on 16.04.2024 through the second respondent, requesting approval of her appointment. However, no orders have been passed till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2024, within a reasonable time to be fixed by this Court.

4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2024, and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance

with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
