The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for an alleged offence punishable under Sections 406, 420 r/w 120B IPC in Crime No.80 of 2024, seek anticipatory bail.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case, as if they made to believe the defacto complainant that they belong to customs department and they would get goods for lesser amount to him and cheated a sum of Rs.2,24,00,000/-. The defacto complainant is a money lender and he gave this complaint in ill motive. He further submits that they are ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

gd complainant gave Rs.2,24,00,000/- to the petitioners. However, later he came to know that he was cheated. Hence, prays for dismissal.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent opposed this petition, stating that, petitioners made to believe the defacto complainant that they belong to customs department and they would sell goods for lesser amount to him and cheated a sum of Rs.2,24,00,000/-. Hence, he vehemently opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4.Taking into consideration the gravity of offence and sum of the amount involved, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
