O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to provide Electricity Service Connection to the petitioner's Flat in F3, First floor, Jeyam Apartments, F3, First Floor, No.13, Begum Sahib 5th Street, Parallel to Old No.15/16, New No.29/1 & 31/1, V.M.Street, Royapettah, Chennai - 600 014 by effecting name change to the service connection with Consumer No.0112201368 in favour of the petitioner based on petitioner representation dated 04.08.2017.

2. On 08.12.2021, after hearing the learned counsel on either side, this Court, passed a detailed order stating either to effect the name change of electricity service connection in favour of the petitioner or to provide new electricity service connection in the name of the petitioner for his residence, viz., Flat in F3, First Floor, Jeyam Apartments, Begum Sahib 5th Street.

3. In view of the order passed by this Court, the Officials Respondents by proceedings dated 27.01.2022, has effected the name transfer in favour of the petitioner in proceedings LR.No.AE/JE/O & M/name transfer/D No.2021/2022. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner also filed a memo along with Name Transfer Order copy to that effect.

4. In view of the same, no further order is required in this writ petition and accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
