COMMON ORDER These petitions are filed seeking for a direction, directing the respondent police to afford police protection to the petitioners against illegal and violent conduct of the respondents 3 & 4 and their relatives, caste men at Pollachi.
2. On 20.04.2015, this Court passed the following order: Heard the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners; the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 1 and 2; and the learned counsel appearing for respondents 3 and 4. 2.
Today, Shakthivel and Akila, petitioners in Crl.O.P.No.9519 of 2015 are present before this Court. Mr.S.Balan, the father of Akila is also present. He represents that his wife is admitted in Prabhu Hospital, Pollachi. Mrs.Tamilselvi, the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Pollachi is also present.
3. It is represented by Mr.Balan that, his daughter should come and see his wife, who is ailing and admitted in hospital. He has given an undertaking that no harm would befall his daughter.
4. Under such circumstances, this Court directs Akila to report before the All Women Police Station, Pollachi at 10.00 a.m. on 23.04.2015 and thereafter, the police shall send escort along with her, with sufficient protection to the hospital for seeing her mother and shall bring her back to the police station.
Post on 24.04.2015 for reporting to this Court. The Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Pollachi, is directed to be present before this Court on 24.04.2015.
3. Today, Sakthivel and Akila petitioners in Crl.O.P.No.9519 of 2015 are present before this Court and Mrs.TamilSelvei, the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Pollachi is also present. The parties submitted that Akila went with police escort and saw her mother and spent some time with her. There was no untoward incident took place.
Hence, these petitions are closed with the liberty to the petitioners in Crl.O.P.No.9519 of 2015 to lodge a complaint if there is any fresh threat from anyone. This Court has also recorded the undertaking given by the father of Akila that he would not disturb the matrimonial harmony of the spouses.
