PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to take action against the 5th respondent and its members for socially boycotting the petitioner's family and also his relatives family members at Kokilamedu Village, Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District and further direct them to ensure that petitioner's family and his relative family members are not socially boycotted by the 5th respondent and to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to pay compensation for their loss of income and hardship, within the time limit to be stipulated by this Court. This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to take action against the 5th respondent and its members for socially boycotting the petitioner's family and also his relatives family members at Kokilamedu Village, Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District and further direct them to ensure that petitioner's family and his relative family members are not socially boycotted by the 5th respondent and to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to
pay compensation for their loss of income and hardship, within the time limit to be stipulated by this Court.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 3 and 4 submitted that, at present, there is absolutely no boycott of the petitioner and his family members from any social activities.
3. Recording the said submission, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. However, if any boycott occurs in the future, the fourth respondent is directed to take appropriate action as against the persons, who boycott the petitioner and his family members, in the manner known to law. No costs.

Today, the matter is posted before this Court under the caption 'For Being Mentioned' at the instance of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this Court by an order dated 10.02.2025, closed the petition. However, in that order, it was wrongly typed as Criminal Original Petition instead of Writ Petition. Hence he prayed for necessary direction.
3. Considering the above submissions, the para No.3 of order dated 10.02.2025 in W.P.No.16699 of 2024 shall read as follows :- " 3. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition stands closed. However, if any boycott occurs in the future, the fourth respondent is directed to take appropriate action as against the persons, who boycott the petitioner and his family members, in the manner known to law. No costs."
Remaining portion of the order shall remain unaltered. 4.
Registry is directed to carryout the above corrections and
issue order copy afresh.
