Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation at 25.04.2023 as per the provisions at the Street Vendors (Protection of livelihood Regulation) Act 2014, made for granting permission/certificate of vending and till such time not to disturb with the running of the petitioner's bunk shop at Running Bunk 1/4

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to consider her representation dated 25.04.2023 and pass orders permitting her to run a bunk Shop near 14 Shop Bus Stand, Tamil Fisheries Development Corporation Ltd., Opp.3 Corner H Block first Street, Anna Nagar, Chennai.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she is a disabled person having 75% disability and she is having a bunk shop near 14 Shop Bus Stand, Tamil Fisheries Development Corporation Ltd., Opp 3 Corner H Block first 2/4

Street, Anna Nagar, Chennai. She is engaged in selling all beverages and other food items. The petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 25.04.2023 seeking permission to run a bunk shop in the above mentioned place, but the same has not been considered thereafter.

3. Mr.A.S.Ragul Adhithya learned counsel for Mrs.P.T.Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the Government of Tamil Nadu already formed Town Vending Committee and hence, the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

4. In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.04.2023 on merits and pass final orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3/4
