The Writ Petition has been filed to quash the impugned order of the First Respondent passed in Gratuity Application No.48/249 of 2003 dated 01.03.2004.

2.Heard Mr.N. Nithyanandam, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr.A. Paneerselvam, learned counsel for the First Respondent and Mr.G. Annamalai, learned counsel for the Second Respondent.

Mr.N.Nithyanandam, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner has produced a copy of the Proceedings of the Lok Adalat held from 21st to 23rd April 2004, from which it is noticed that the amount of gratuity, forming the subject matter of dispute in this Writ Petition, has been negotiated between the parties and in pursuance of the settlement arrived between them, payment has also been effected to the Second Respondent. Hence nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition. 4.

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
