2/4 Contempt Petition has been filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondents for disobeying the order, dated 18.08.2020, passed in W.P.No.2116 of 2017 and batch cases and the rules framed thereunder and under Section 193 of Indian Penal Code, 1860, and Section 195 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, for committing perjury in filing false affidavit and suppressing the material fact by the second respondent and punish the respondents 1 to 3 and pass appropriate directions to the respondents to ensure immediate payment of compensation amount to the petitioners along with 100% solatium and with 9% rate of interest from 3
(2) notice as ordered in W.P.No.2116 of 2017 and batch cases on 18.08.2020. For Petitioners : Mr.G.Saravanabhnan For respondents : Mr.P.Kumaresan, Addl. Advocate General, assisted by Mr.S.John J.Raja Singh, Addl.Government Pleader.
ORDER
When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.P.Kumaresan, learned Additional Advocate General, appearing for the respondents, has submitted that in compliance with the order of this Court, dated 18.08.2020, passed in W.P.No.2116 of 2017 and batch cases, compensation amount has already been paid to the parties concerned and they have given acknowledgement also on 01.02.2021, which fact has not been refuted by the petitioners.
