Respondents Prayer:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, directing the second respondent herein to produce the body of the petitioner's wife being the detenu viz., M.Kavitha, D/o.late Magesh, aged 20 years, residing at No.1197, Bajanaikoil Street, Pudur-Brammadesam, Vembakkam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, Mobile No.9843317137, before this Hon'ble Court, from the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent and set her at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner is the husband of the detenu. This petition has been filed by him seeking a direction to the respondents for production of the detenue.

2. Both the petitioner and the detenue are present before us. Both of them are major. The detenue has informed us that she has since married the petitioner and has been living with him.

3. In such view of the matter, we do not find any illegal detention involved, however, taking notice of the fact that it is an intercaste marriage, we direct the Inspector of Police, Tambaram Police Station, to give adequate police protection to the detenue and her husband, the petitioner herein, as and when they approach for police protection.
