The petitioner's son, who is a life convict and in confinement at the Central Prison, Salem, temporarily transferred to Central Prison, Trichy on 14.10.2023 by the jail authorities. Pursuant to the interim orders passed by this Court in the above writ petition on 11.01.2024, he was released on leave on 13.01.2024 for a period of 40 days, wherein, he was directed to utilize the leave only for the purpose for which it was granted and that the petitioner's son shall not indulge in any other activities. Thereafter, this leave was periodically extended and it expires on 19.07.2024. 2.It is now reported by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that while the petitioner's son was on leave, he was implicated in a criminal case registered in Crime No.321 of 2024 for the offence under Section 296(b), 118(1), 351(3), BNS Act and 3 of TNPPDL Act, by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Mettupalayam and remanded to judicial custody on 01.07.2024.

kas 3.It is apparent that the petitioner's son had violated the leave conditions and as such this Court is of the view that that the leave granted to the petitioner's son need not be extended any further. 4.The above petition seeking extension of leave stands dismissed accordingly.
