M.S.RAMESH, J.
AND V.LAKSHMINARAYANAN, J.
When the petitioner's daughter, namely S.Renuka Devi, aged about 26 years, had gone missing, he had given a complaint on 21.04.2025 before the third respondent Police and the same came to be registered in Crime No.154/2025. 2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's complaint has been registered in Crime No.154/2025 on 21.04.2025 as 'woman missing' and that the third respondent Police is conducting the investigation to locate the petitioner's daughter.
3. Since the third respondent Police had registered the petitioner's
complaint and they are in the process of investigating the same, we deem it fit that the third respondent could be directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report.
4. In view of the above, the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition does not require consideration. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the third respondent herein, to expedite the investigation in Crime No.154 of 2025 and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible.
