Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment made in water body classified as Otteri Nalla Canal situated at the backside of Plot No.3614, M.28, 10th Street, Anna Nagar, Chennai-600 102, in accordance with the eviction notice dated 30.11.2012 issued by the 2nd respondent.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN,J.) The petitioner filed this writ petition for a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment made in the water body situated at the backside of Plot No.3614, M.28, 10th Street, Anna Nagar, Chennai-600 102.

The Assistant Engineer, Public Works Department, Special Project Section No.I, Chennai, filed an affidavit indicating that the encroachment in question was removed on 22.02.2016.

In view of the removal of the encroachment, nothing survives for adjudication. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
