The petitioner made a request on 24.11.2015 seeking transfer of patta pursuant to the settlement deed executed by his wife in his favour in respect of the property in Survey Nos. 225/1, 225/2 and 228/1B, situated in No. 150, Medavakkam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Kanchipuram. It is the case of the petitioner that the property was purchased in the name of his wife in the year 2005 by way of registered sale deed bearing Document No. 5769 of 2005 dated 19.08.2005. Since the request of the petitioner has not been considered, the present writ petition is filed.

Considering the pendency of the representation of the petitioner before the respondent, with regard to the relief sought, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.11.2015, on merits, in accordance with law and after affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
