O R D E R

With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.This writ petition is filed seeking for writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to sponsor the name of the petitioner for the post of village assistant and to consider him for the said post.

3.According to the petitioner, he had passed 8th standard in the year 1991 and registered his name in the employment exchange on 20.10.1994 and he has been renewing his registration in the employment exchange periodically. Whileso, in the year 2012,

the third respondent has not sponsored his name to the call letter issued by the second respondent dated 18.04.2012 for the post of village assistant.

4.The petitioner would further state that he approached the respondents and thereafter on 23.05.2012 sent a communication to the second respondent stating that entires has not been properly made and therefore, the name of the petitioner was left out. Similarly, the first respondent issued a notification dated 13.11.2015 calling for applications to fill up six vacancies of village assistant. But the name of the petitioner was not sponsored, therefore, on 16.11.2015, the petitioner made representation to the first respondent through grievance petition requesting him to call for the petitioner for interview. The petitioner has also made application to the second respondent on 18.11.2015.

5.Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Gnanasekar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

6.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

7.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
